Dear Parent or Guardian,
My name is Charlene Felix. I am a student teacher from the Ontario Institute of Studies of Education. For the past three weeks, I have been interning under Mr. Fenty’s guidance and teaching the grade nine English Shakespeare Unit. As we approach the end of the unit, I wanted to inform you that there is an upcoming persuasive essay due on Wed May 27. The essay questions have been distributed in class last week and are also posted on the school class website.
We are devoting the remainder of class time to work on the essay, but students are being assigned the essay in incremental steps for homework if more time is needed. This enables me to overlook essay outlines and drafts prior to the final due date in order to make any constructive comments and suggestions to help improve writing and organization skills. I am also available for extra help at lunch hour and welcome looking over your son and daughter’s progress at that time.
I sincerely have enjoyed my teaching experience so far and look forward to completing my fourth and final week with the class.
