Elementary School / Peforming Arts

Our Performing Arts programs help students develop their God-given abilities and develop their confidence and outreach through Drama, Worship Teams, Choirs and Band.

Elementary students begin the band instrument program in Grade 6. Students have a number of opportunities to showcase their talent, not only for public performances, but for ministry purposes. On a weekly basis our student Worship Team (Grades 6-8) leads the music portion of our Chapel. Visual Arts are also highlights of our program with displays being presented several times in the year.

Our Christmas and spring concerts are further venues for students to publicly express their talents through dramatic presentations. As an elementary division it is our goal to involve all the students in the presentations to ensure that everyone is given equal opportunity for development. This allows for great team building and to create an atmosphere that everyone is part of a “bigger picture”. We develop a safe environment for the children in order for them to continue to develop their public presentation skills. However, we do demand a high level of excellence and proper preparation, which always results in great presentations.

As a Christian school, it is our desire in all performances that people receive the message of hope that is found in Jesus Christ. With the program helping to develop the talents and abilities of the students it is our hope that they will continue to use these gifts in the local church.
