About us

Since 1978, Queensway Christian College has placed an emphasis on developing a strong academic program, extra-curriculars and spiritual growth all in a close-knit community.

Today we have a high school, middle school and junior school (JK-12). Our staff are committed to serving our students and their families by providing a strong academic education in a Christ-centred learning environment.

  • QCC is an independent, non-denominational Christian school, JK-12, board-led organization founded by Queensway Cathedral in 1978. The independent QCC School Board was established January 1, 2007.
  • Our experienced and motivated teachers inspire a love of learning with our rigorous academic programs and they serve as mentors and role models who support Christian values Luke 6:40
  • By emphasizing Biblically based morals and values, we teach our students to integrate faith into their lives through Bible study, active involvement in community service, and their daily decisions
  • Small classes encourage active participation by each student motivating them to perform beyond their own expectations and set goals that will help them reach their God-given potential.
  • Our facilities include, double gymnasium, Science & Computer Labs, Music Room, Lunchroom, Fitness Rom and large sanctuary/auditorium for special events.
  • A commitment to the arts allows students to explore visual and performing arts as a means of developing their skills and communicating their beliefs in creative ways.
  • 98% of our graduates further their education at university. Some of our graduates have gone on to become pastors, teachers, nurses, doctors, business owners, engineers and missionaries.
  • We believe that athletics strengthens character and teaches the value of teamwork, leadership and commitment within the context of physical education classes, intramurals and competitive sports.
  • We are committed to being a positive witness for Jesus Christ in whatever we do. This is done as we worship, teach, pray, minister, serve and grow together into the people and community that God plans us to be.

The Queensway Tradition

Queensway Christian College has a variety of distinctive features that continue to help us "make a difference". These include:

  • A rigorous academic curriculum
  • A strong relationship between our staff and students
  • Spiritual emphasis - our students are involved in community service and outreach, our SOS Missions Team, weekly Chapels, all aimed at "personally knowing and experiencing God’s love and power."
  • Extra-curricular - sports, drama, music, worship teams, student council, co-op programs, SOS Missions Team, intramurals and electives.
  • Community building and educational trips - France, Quebec, Ottawa, Romania, Fair Glen, Muskoka Woods, Mini-Yo-We and Pioneer Camp.

Our graduates continue to be a positive influence in their families, careers, communities and churches. Over ninety eight percent of our graduates go to university. We continue to look forward to the plans the Lord has for us, individually and as a school committed to equipping our students.
